Tension Threads

The tension threads are threads of a biocompatible and fully absorbable material that tightens the desired areas and recovers a younger face structure. They are made with PDO (Polydioxanone), a material of high biocompatibility and completely absorbable, the same threads that are used as sutures for heart surgery.
In addition to improving our external appearance, the tension threads make our body recover the natural production of collagen through its stimulating effect by reabsorbing the threads, in this way we achieve that the improvement of facial tension lasts longer.

How is the treatment?
The treatment consists of introducing the tension threads at the points where we want to decrease the flaccidity. If the patient needs it, topical anesthesia can be applied to reduce discomfort at the time of treatment. Once introduced, the function of tensioning threads is to increase collagen production, creating a lifting effect that is achieved by starting the absorption process of the threads themselves.
In the specific case of spiculated tensioning threads, the tension effect is instantaneous, since due to its spiculated shape it retains the skin achieving a tension effect at the same time of implantation. In this case we use local anesthesia so that the patient does not feel any type of discomfort.
Areas to be treated
The tension threads are mainly used to firm the face and regain the shape of the facial oval, and also to regain tension in the cheeks.
In the specific case of Happy lift spiculated threads we use them above all in the lower jaw area, leaving the chin and jaw part much more defined.
Types of materials
Polydioxanone PDO
Highly safe and biocompatible suture thread. Powerful collagen inducer, works by promoting cell cohesion. It favors the creation of new capillary vessels and lymphatic activity.
PLA Polylactic Acid
Biodegradable and biocompatible material made from a synthetic polymer. It is an excellent enhancer of endogenous collagen production.
Polycaprolactone PCL
Polycaprolactone is a powerful collagen inducer. Known for its absorption and biodegradation capacity, in addition to its high resistance and flexibility. It can remain stable for up to two years before its complete reabsorption.
