In CIME Clinic we want to talk about the tensioning threads, these are special and very thin strands of Polydioxanone (PDO), a resorbable material and fully compatible with the skin.
The treatment consists of the placement of these tension threads by a very fine needle, the threads are introduced into the subcutaneous tissue of the face or body. The threads are placed forming a fabric that is able to hold the skin tissue, which tenses and ensures the production of collagen after fifteen days, so it improves the quality of the skin and reduces sagging.
Indications:
- Patients between 35 and 55 years.
- Outpatient treatment does not require hospitalization.
- Minimally invasive treatment with local anesthesia.
- Absence of hypertrophic scars and/or keloids.
- Possibility of repeating the treatment by increasing the number of threads.
- Patients who do not want traditional surgery.
- Patients with initial sagging not very advanced.
Contraindications:
- Patients who require traditional lifting due to advanced sagging with large excess skin.
- Herpes in the acute phase.
- Patients who want immediate results.
Aftercare:
- Application of ice or Cold Pack bag.
- Avoid hot drinks for two or three days.
- Minimum facial expression in two or three weeks.
- Sleep on your back the first day.
- Application of Arnica® type creams (with vitamin K) or Thrombocid® to reduce the bruise if it appears.
The results are visible after 15 days and we can see their benefits until after one year of treatment. The results offered are natural, without artificial changes in the face, and in harmony with the physiognomy of the patient. The improvements of the tension threads are observed since their application, improving every week and increasing until the first 3 months.
