Recommendations prior to treatment
- An analysis to verify that the kidney and liver functions are correct in addition to the cholesterol and triglyceride values.
- Days before, it is advisable to follow a low-fat diet, as well as days after treatment.
- Avoid taking Aspirin, ibuprofen or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, 7 days before treatment because this increases the risk of bleeding and causes bruising.
- It should be reported if you have a drug allergy, and if you are taking any medication at the moment.
Post-treatment recommendations
- After the infiltration, you should wait a couple of minutes on the stretcher before getting up.
- Do not apply cosmetics (unless advised by the specialist) on the treated area until 12 hours after treatment.
- Do not expose the area to sources of intense heat (for example sunbathing, UVA rays, sauna, etc.), after the treatment.
- In case bruises appear, you should avoid massaging the area as they can calcify. In case of applying Thrombocid it should be very gentle.
- Drink plenty of fluids, and maintain a low-fat diet.
- Ultrasounds can be applied after 4 weeks.
