At CIME Clinic we want to talk to you about tension threads because rejuvenating was never so easy.
What are the tension wires?
They are a revolutionary new non-surgical antiaging therapy that, by placing several bio-absorbable PDO (Polydioxanone) threads in the dermis, not only improves sagging from the inside but also stimulates the activation of skin collagen. Tension threads are used in different parts of the body.
How do the tension wires work?
They are implanted in the dermis by a technique designed and performed by doctors, their placement is very similar to the mesh filling technique. These threads are non-toxic monofilaments, they are bio-absorbable, non-pyrogenic and are composed of Polydioxanone (PDO), the material used in cardiac sutures (hence their great safety). This treatment is complemented very well with others that have been done in consultation. Its use allows us to prolong and maintain the results of volume, induction of collagen and tension.
What are the results?
The antiaging effect is immediate, the improvement is observed 30 days after the session, and is consolidated 3 months after the session. The results vary according to the patient's age, sagging level, and skin quality. The result with a single treatment usually has a durability of about 10 to 12 months.
Who is a good candidate for treatment with tension threads?
Men and women who show signs of aging, sagging and want to elevate their facial structures.
What are the areas where the treatment with tension wires is more effective?
They are indicated for the correction of nasogenian grooves, puppet lines, barcode, eye contour, forehead, mandibular arch, gill, neck, and neckline. Satisfactory results have also been obtained in the correction of acne sequelae. In the rest of the body, visible results have been observed in the correction of sagging thighs, abdomen, arms and back.
What are the possible side effects?
Treatment with tension threads is a safe treatment that very rarely involves complications. Only mild and temporary swelling, bruising and tightness may appear, which will disappear after a short period of time, as it is a non-aggressive procedure.
Who should perform the treatment with tension wires?
Only medical professionals who have been trained and are accredited to carry out the treatment.
